Kayaking & Canoeing - 050531

Join a Jacksonville Park Naturalist for a leisurely paddle to explore the waterways at our parks and preserves. Our Park Naturalists will guide the paddle, pointing out birds, native plants, wildflowers, and wildlife, and will share some ecological facts and history of the park along the way. Please come prepared to paddle for up to 1.5 hours. Proper attire is recommended. Please also bring and provide your own Kayak or Canoe, water, sunscreen, and bug spray to use as needed.

*Kayaks are only available for rent at Hanna Park

Arrive at the meeting location ready to hit the water with us by the advertised start time. The tour will depart within 5 minutes of advertised start time.

Nature Programs may be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances such as inclement weather, flooding, storm damage, etc. Please check the weather prior to heading to your scheduled program, If cancellation is necessary, we will notify you via email.

This Kayak Tour meets at Huguenot Memorial Parks Nature Center.

Note that there is a per vehicle fee of $5 to enter the park.
