Hold Harmless Agreement

The user will indemnify and hold harmless the City of Jacksonville from and against all claims, damages, losses, and expenses including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of, or resulting from the occurrence of the park or facility by the user, its agents, servants, invitees, guests and vendors under the license. The user will take all precautions for the safety of, and provide responsible protection to prevent damage, injury, or loss to all persons and property in the park/facility. The user will comply with all laws, ordinances, regulations, or other orders regarding of persons or property, the user will act with responsible care and discretion to prevent threatened damage, injury, or loss.

Special Use Permit - Waiver

The City of Jacksonville, Florida, Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services, hereinafter known as the "Department," if permission is granted to the person/group making this reservation, hereinafter known as the "Park user",  does so under the terms set forth:
1. All trash MUST be gathered and dispose of in receptacles. Park area MUST be left clean.
2. The Park user will reimburse the City for any damage occurring to shrubs, buildings, lawns, equipment, etc. Charges to be determined by the Department.
3. Fees, admission charges, or any type of solicitation is not allowed in City parks unless granted via a Special Use Permit.
4. No vehicles are allowed on areas not specifically designed for traffic use; this includes access through maintenance gates.
5. If necessary, the number of port-o-lets required by the State Health Department have been obtained for the duration of the event.
6. If vendors are used, the required City and/or State permits and insurance certificates have been obtained for the group/person holding the event.
7. If musical entertainment is being provided, the volume will be kept at a level that does not violate Section 368.201, Ordinance Code, Noise Control, or State Statute, Breach of Peace/Disorderly conduct. Amplified sound is only permitted at the designated locations.
8. The Department is not responsible for providing on site equipment or electricity.
9. Bringing a horse into a city Park is prohibited by the City Council Ordinance 87-846-522, 634-133 (a) (2). This does not apply to Sheriff's Office Mounted Patrol or to horses in City special events approved by the Director.
10. Unless explicitly stated, an approved permit DOES NOT grant exclusive use of the park to the above-mentioned person/group, but it DOES grant exclusive use of the specified area of the park listed on the permit.

THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IS NOT PERMITTED. PER SECTION 154.107(a)(10), ORDINANCE CODE, IT SHALL BE UNLAWFUL AND A CLASS "B" OFFENSE FOR ANY PERSON TO SELL, SERVE OR CONSUME ANY ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE UPON ANY PROPERTY OWNED, LEASED OR OTHERWISE OCCUPIED BY THE CITY UNLESS THE PROPER PERMITS, INSURANCE, AND EXEMPTIONS HAVE BEEN ATTAINED.

VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE ABOVE MAY RESULT IN YOUR IMMEDIATE REMOVAL FROM THE PARK BY THE JACKSONVILLE SHERIFFS OFFICE.
